All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.....

Wow what a surprise! On Christmas Eve my first tooth broke through my gums! My mouth was hurting pretty bad all of a sudden and I was fussy because of the pain. Then I started to chew on my Grandma's finger (I love to chew fingers! And Mommy doesn't mind that I love it since fingers are BPA free.) and she felt something sharp. She looked at my gums and there it was, my first tooth! Mommy has been trying all sorts of things to help my gums feel better but still at times it is really bothering me. Hopefully the pain will go away soon. Everyone was so shocked since I am still not even 5 months old. I am pretty young to be getting teeth already!

Sneak peek

A week and a half ago we met up with a photographer up here in Mammoth to take some family photos. The photographer's name is Whitney McCoy. Those of you who know Mammoth may recognize that last name, and Yes, she is of that McCoy family. It was a cold day, but I was bundled up pretty good so I stayed as warm as I could. Whitney said she was impressed with what a good boy I was, especially because of the cold weather and since we got in and out of the car a bunch of times to move to different locations. Mommy doesn't want to post too many of the photos yet since she is using one of them for our Holiday card, which you who is reading this may or may not have gotten it in the mail already and she doesn't want to completely spoil it!

My very first Christmas tree!

This was a very special day! It was the first time I have ever seen snow, and also the day we went to get my first Christmas tree! Daddy dressed me all nice and warm and we went over to get our tree.

Ready to go! My jacket is so puffy that I barely fit in my car seat!

Getting ready to drive over to get the tree.

Even though it was a very short drive, I fell asleep on the way over! You can see out the car window that it was snowing really hard!

Here I am with Mommy in the crazy snow! We picked out the most perfect tree. It had to sit in the garage for a few days though since it was all covered in snow.

High chair!

I am getting bigger and bigger! I now can sit in my high chair! I just tried rice cereal for the first time last week. So far I am not too sure about the new strange texture and taste so for now it is not really a big part of my diet. Mommy keeps giving it to me though to try to get me used to it.

Here I am trying on my new beanie! Mommy and Daddy got it for me so that when I go play in the snow my head will be nice and warm!

Chloe & Aspen get their bandages off

Poor little girls! I am not sure if this is better than before.... They got their bandages off but then they had to wear these silly cones on their heads to keep from biting or licking their legs.

However, Mommy and Daddy have been feeling bad for them and have tried to keep their cones off when they are able to keep an eye on them. But then on Saturday, they walked out of the room for just a minute and guess what happened? Aspen chewed over half of the stitches out of her leg! It was dumping snow outside and we all had to take an emergency trip over to our vet here in Mammoth except for Chloe, she stayed warm at home!

Santa!

I am such a lucky boy! I got to meet Santa for the very first time! Santa's helpers said I did such a good job sitting with Santa. I didn't cry or anything! I had just woken up from a nap though so I didn't smile for the camera. Oh well. That doesn't mean I get a lump of coal in my stocking, right?

Bear's 1st Birthday

My buddy Bear had his first Birthday party on December 5th. I had lots of fun!

Here's me taking a little siesta during the party. I needed a little rest from all the fun!

Chloe & Aspen

Poor little Chloe & Aspen! They had knee surgery two weeks ago. They have a condition called patellar luxation which means that their knee caps "float" instead of holding in one place. We decided to have them both have the surgery at once so they can go through recovery together instead of one at a time. This may or may not have been a good idea! Lol. Here they are the day after surgery with their legs bandaged up.

4 months old!

Dear Tyler,

I just can’t believe how fast time is going by and how fast you are continuing to change and grow. I can’t believe that you have been here for 4 months already! I look at you every day and see a miracle. It is hard for me to fathom that you grew inside my body for almost 10 months and now you are a living, breathing tiny person. I feel so blessed and lucky to be your Mommy! Each week, I think you are the cutest baby I have ever seen, and then somehow the next week you get even cuter!

We had your 4 month check up! You now are 25.5 inches long which puts you in the 75th percentile. You weigh 13 pounds, 2 ounces which is the 25th percentile.

This past month has been full of changes and developments! You have been drooling quite a bit since 2 months old, but now you are like a leaky faucet! We have to keep a bib on you all of the time now because otherwise the entire front of your clothes becomes soaking wet.

You love to use your hands to reach and grab everything within your reach. You seem to notice every little thing around you and are very curious about it all. Most things that you grab onto go straight for the mouth which means we have to be super careful about what is within arms length at all times! You are able to grab and play with your toys on your own now too although sometimes you will drop them.

You still are very reactive to sounds. Often if you hear a new sound you will stop what you are doing and look around to see where it is coming from. If there is one person in a room talking, you will follow that person with your eyes and it is so cute, it looks like you are intently listening to whatever that person has to say. You love to be talked and sung to, and often you just smile and laugh when we talk to you.

More and more you are very interested in Chloe and Aspen. You look at them to see what they are doing all the time and if they are close enough, you love to reach over and feel their soft fluffy fur! So far so good, you haven’t yanked on their fur! They love to lick your little hands and face. I am so relieved and happy that you love them and they love you.

You are becoming more and more active. You rolled over for the first time last month, but now you are just a little rolley polley, turning over constantly. When you are on your tummy, I can see that your little arms are getting stronger and stronger, you are able to push your upper body higher off of the ground than you used to. You love to be in the middle of all of the action, and are so observant of everything. You also still love to go for walks in your stroller.

I am excited for your first Christmas and New Years! Also you will be seeing snow for the first time soon!

Love,

Mommy

Tyler & Blue Bear, 4 months

Looks like Tyler loves making funny faces for the camera just like Daddy!

Fun with Grandma.
