Last weekend

Last Saturday I went with my Mommy and Daddy to see my friends Allie, baby Madison, Auntie Jen and Uncle Jason. Here I am with Allie sitting on the couch at her house in Huntington Beach.

Last Friday my Daddy's friend from high school came to visit. Here I am with Sharon and her boyfriend Ino. Daddy took the picture and I guess he didn't notice that Ino's eyes were closed.

Cutest pout ever!

I was hanging out with my Grandpa but feeling a little grumpy. My Mommy thought it would be a perfect time to get a photo of me pouting. She says it's really cute when I pout because my bottom lip sticks out and gets really fat.

Uncle Darrin.... Bad influence

Last week I went to dinner with my Mommy, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Darrin & Maritza. My Daddy was out of town for work in Las Vegas. We went to a Japanese restaurant called Koi. I had a good time hanging out with everyone. As you can see in the photos, Uncle Darrin is already showing me all sorts of new things, like beer!

My Mommy said she was proud of me for pushing the beer bottle away.

Here I am with Grandpa having a great time! I was laughing and smiling because Grandpa was lifting me up in the air.

Tyler is 3 months old!

I can't believe that our baby Tyler is already 3 months old! Time has gone by so fast, yet it seems like he has always been a part of our lives and I can't imagine life without him. It is truly amazing how life has changed for us in so many ways.

I have been trying to be good about "tummy time" every day. Tyler flipped over onto his back from his tummy for the first time at about 10 weeks old! He seems like a whole different baby from when he turned 2 months. His cry sounds different, and he is much bigger and stronger. He has really found his hands now and loves to put them in his mouth and chew on them. He also is getting much more control over his hands and is able to grab onto toys. He is drooling like a faucet now. We often have to leave bibs on his because otherwise the entire front of his clothes get sopping wet from all the drool. He also loves to grab his feet. Any chance he gets, he is trying to hold onto them which is making it interesting when we have to change his diapers! He is really responsive now to sights and sounds, even more than before. Often he will turn to see what is going on if he hears something.

I actually am beginning to feel like he likes to be out and about more than staying at home sometimes. Amazingly, (knock on wood) he has never cried/thrown a fit in a restaurant. He often just will sit in his stroller and hang out silently the whole time! We are definitely trying to take advantage of that now before he gets too mobile to want to just hang out. Or if we take him out and walk around with him in the stroller, he is very content and loves to just look around. Often he is so relaxed that he will fall asleep on walks in the stroller, but not always although he almost always will fall asleep in the car if the ride is long enough. He laughs and smiles all the time which is just so cute and sometimes it really sounds like he is telling us things with his cooing sounds. It really seems like he has things to say! He still loves his baths, and now that he is moving around more he is splashing around and making waves in the tub.

Since there is no well baby check up at 3 months, I took him to the Pump Station (baby store) and weighed him myself. He weighed in at 12 lbs exactly. I also measured him and I think he is 23.5 inches. I could be wrong on that though so we'll see what he measures at his 4 month check up.

Tyler says: Here I am at 3 months next to the blue bear. My Mommy says she will continue to take pictures of me next to him every month so that we can see how much I am growing. My Mommy also says that I am old enough now to take over the narration on the family blog! I am very excited about this because now I can tell you all the stories!

Halloween

We met up with our friends Joe, Julie & Bear on Halloween since we both have little ones who are still too young to go trick-or-treating. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Bear in his cute little costume. The funny thing is that I had bought a tiger costume for Tyler to wear on Halloween even though it was too big for him becuase I couldn't find anything in his actual size. But then on Halloween day I found this adorable little dragon costume! It was just the cutest thing!

Bumbo

I just put Tyler in his "Bumbo" chair for the first time on October 30th. It was the cutest thing ever! He looks so big and grown up in it since it allows him to sit up on his own.

Last week's visitors

Tyler & Cameran (McCallister) Davis. Cameran just got married last month!

Last week Tyler and I went to lunch with Jackie, Tatum & Megan Read. It was a fun (but too short!) lunch date.

Tyler loves to look at other babies, both in person and in pictures.

Tyler had just woken up from a nap. He still looks pretty sleepy!

Tyler with Auntie Megan.

Auntie Cathy came to visit Tyler last week before going to work. He had fun playing with her!

Getting bigger

I just can't get over how much Tyler is changing week by week! He is getting bigger and more interactive every day. Scott was gone for almost 2 weeks to China this week and last week and he could definitely see the changes that had happened just while he was away.

Tyler's first pumpkin patch!

Last weekend we met up with a few friends at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. Since Tyler is still so little and can't run around yet, mostly we just went so we would have some cute pictures of Tyler! Here are my favorites.

The money shot.

Our first Halloween together!

Proud Daddy!

Proud Mommy!

Tyler crashed out after the tiring "photo shoot" on the haystack! Unfortunately Amber (and Mike) came to visit Tyler but he was sleeping the whole time. Amber's two kids were also with her but unfortunately we didn't get any photos of them since they were too busy running around in the corn maze! Her kids are 5 and 8!

Joe, Julie & Bear. We spend a lot of time with this little family since we both have little ones now!

Bear and Mommy. We just found out last week that Bear will be a big brother this coming spring!

Daddy & Tyler with Mr. Scarecrow. Personally I think they just put up these fun scarecrows for the photo ops!

Tummy Time (10 weeks old)

Tyler continues to get stronger and stronger every week. Sometimes he is ok with tummy time and doesn't seem to mind it, but if you catch him in the wrong mood he isn't very happy about it. Last week he was in a mellow mood and stayed on his tummy for quite a while. Two days later, on Saturday October 17th, he flipped over from his tummy to his back all by himself for the first time! I didn't get any pictures that day though.... I find that tummy time is a great time to get some funny pictures of Tyler's facial expressions. Since he is using his muscles to try to push himself up, I am able to catch lots of different looks on his face!

My favorite!
